Founder & Creator — eigenplus (eigenplus.com)

I started eigenplus out of my passion for science, engineering, and education. During my time at NPCIL, I had the opportunity to work on highly specialized problems in geotechnical earthquake engineering, structural dynamics, and nuclear infrastructure design. While the work itself was deeply technical and rewarding, I realized that many of the concepts, methods, and engineering principles I was learning were rarely explained in an intuitive and accessible way. eigenplus became my way of sharing those learnings with a broader audience.
Through eigenplus, I created educational content focused on engineering mechanics, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, mathematics, and computational science. My goal was always to simplify complex scientific ideas and make advanced engineering concepts approachable for students, researchers, and practicing engineers.
The platform initially began as a collection of notes and visual explanations inspired by problems I encountered during my work at NPCIL, including topics such as seismic analysis, soil behavior, dynamic systems, and numerical modeling. Over time, it evolved into a broader educational initiative where I combined theory, computation, visualization, and practical engineering insights into interactive and engaging learning resources.
I independently built the entire ecosystem around eigenplus, including the website, educational simulations, animations, technical articles, and mobile applications. As part of the project, I developed five Android applications focused on engineering and scientific learning, which cumulatively reached more than 500,000 downloads. The website itself has served over 100,000 readers worldwide, creating a global community of students and engineering enthusiasts interested in learning through intuition, visualization, and computation.
One of the most rewarding aspects of eigenplus has been bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world engineering practice. Many of the topics I explored were motivated by practical challenges I encountered while working on safety-critical infrastructure projects, and I always tried to present them in a way that emphasized both physical understanding and engineering application.
In 2023, my friend Kamal Sanker Patel took over the project and has taken it to entirely new heights. Under his leadership, eigenplus expanded significantly through new educational initiatives, content formats, and community outreach. He also launched a YouTube channel based on the same vision and educational philosophy, which reached over 100,000 subscribers within just three months. Since then, the project has continued to grow with many exciting developments in science communication and engineering education.
eigenplus represents my belief that science and engineering education should be visual, intuitive, computational, and accessible. What started as a personal learning project evolved into a platform that has impacted hundreds of thousands of learners across the world.
