Adaptive Mesh Refinement

My interest in adaptive algorithms came directly from the computational challenges I faced during my industry work on large structural systems. During COVID, when access to institutional computing resources became limited and we were forced to work from laptops at home, I became obsessed with finding ways to reduce computational cost without sacrificing accuracy.

Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR)

AMR introduced the idea that computational resources should automatically focus only where the physics demands higher resolution. This became one of the central philosophies of my research: achieving realistic time-to-solution while preserving high-fidelity simulations.
