Open Source Scientific Computing

After spending nearly five years working with commercial engineering software, I realized that I wanted the freedom to understand, modify, and build simulation tools from the ground up. Open source scientific computing gave me that freedom and completely changed the way I approached research and software development.

Ecosystems such as FEniCS, PETSc, Gmsh, and ParaView exposed me to reproducible research, collaborative development, and scalable scientific software design. They also motivated me to contribute toward building accessible computational technologies for the scientific community.
